Home inventory

Five photos. Five minutes. One room on record.

Not when the house is finished — now. The boxes you still haven’t unpacked, the junk drawer, the garage, the closet nobody opens, the shed: all of it, as it is. Today’s photo is the one you can never retake, and the next one shows what changed. Qadvo drafts the list from it — what’s there, how many, what it would cost to replace — and it’s out of your head and on the record. The insurer’s list is the byproduct. The clear head is the point.

Five photos

One of each wall and one of the whole room. Qadvo reads them together and lists what it sees.

A list you check

What it sees comes back as a draft: each thing, how many, and an estimated replacement value. Nothing is saved until you confirm.

For your insurer

An Insurance Inventory report, room by room, with replacement values and a summary by category — ready to send to your agent.

Against your policy

Jewelry, firearms, collectibles, and other categories that often carry lower limits are flagged to review with your agent. Or ask Q: “Do I have enough coverage?”

Honest about what it saw

  • Counts it estimated are marked ~, and every value says “AI est.” until you change it.
  • A closed box is listed as “contents not visible” — never guessed into.
  • Re-scan once a year: what hasn't changed is marked verified, with the date.

Beta. Values are estimates to check, not appraisals — your own numbers always win.

Where did I put that?

Say what’s in a box as you tape it — “winter clothes, the good blender, the tax files” — and the box goes on the record with its contents. A year from now, ask Q which box the blender is in, instead of opening six.

How it gets there

Nothing to set up. Nothing to keep up.

A record you have to maintain is one more thing to feel behind on. This one takes whatever you give it, whenever you give it — a photo today, a receipt next month — and the dates sort themselves out.

Snap it

The receipt, the label on the back of the furnace, a page of the manual, the box before you tape it. Qadvo reads what's in the photo and keeps the photo too.

Say it

“The garage boxes have the camping gear and the drill.” “New water heater today, Anderson Plumbing.” Said once, it's on the record — in your words, dated.

Forward it

Order confirmations and invoices go to your Qadvo address and file themselves to the thing they're about. No typing, no folder.

Then ask: “Which box is the drill in?” “When did we last have the furnace looked at?” Q answers from what you gave it, and says so when you haven’t given it enough.

What Qadvo helps you answer

Ask anything about what you own.

Qadvo holds your receipts, manuals, warranties, and repair history — and Ask Q answers from them, with the facts, not advice. Ask directly, or let Q point out what the record shows.

Ask Q directly

You

“Is my water heater still under warranty?”

Ask Q

Yes — installed Mar 2018 by Anderson Plumbing. 10-yr manufacturer warranty, 1 yr 4 mo left.

Pulled from receipt + warranty doc

You

“What did I pay for the dishwasher?”

Ask Q

$847 at Lowe's in Jul 2022. Mike's Appliance installed it for $120.

Pulled from 2 receipts

You

“Have I been keeping up with the mower?”

Ask Q

Blade sharpened Apr, oil changed Jun, carburetor cleaned twice this year — $80 per visit.

Pulled from 5 events on file

Or let Q point it out

Today Q noticed

Furnace filter: last changed 11 months ago. The four before that were about 4 months apart.

Heating season starts in about 3 weeks. Whether that matters is your call.

Today Q noticed

Your water heater turns 10 in May. The receipt shows the manufacturer warranty ends with it.

Worth knowing before it fails.

The Civic averaged $0.11/mile for 3 years. The last two services brought it closer to $0.27.

Cost trend is climbing — may be worth a closer look.

Every receipt, manual, and photo you add is one more thing you don't have to keep in your head.

What's due

What's due, and what can wait.

Give a filter, an appliance, or a policy its cadence once — by months, miles, or hours. Qadvo works out what's due from what you've actually done, not from a generic checklist; tell it you did the work and the clock resets.

Qadvo — a water softener's record: salt tracked by weight, and the refill date worked out from the owner's own rate of use.

Dates

Smoke detector batteries every 6 months

Miles

Oil change every 5,000 miles

From use

Softener salt — the refill date comes from how fast you've been using it

Either

5,000 miles or 6 months — whichever first

The question stops running in the back of your mind: it's on the record, and the record knows.

Share what you choose

Your records — share what you choose, with whoever you choose.

Spouse, insurance agent, the plumber, the buyer. Give them a link to one thing or to the whole house. Hide costs if you want. Take it back any time.

Public share links

Generate a viewable URL for any asset or group. Send by text, email, or paste anywhere.

Role-based access

Viewer, editor, or admin. Crew members log on the same asset without seeing the whole portfolio.

Hide the dollars

Toggle financial info off before sharing. The mechanic sees what got done, not what it cost.

Printable QR codes

Every public share generates a downloadable QR. Stick it in a binder, on the equipment, in a sale listing.

Transfer the entire history

Selling? The complete living record — every log, photo, and warranty — moves to the buyer's account. You keep a frozen copy of your ownership years.

Revoke any time

Pull a share link or change a role with one tap. Audit who sees what from the share panel.

Households share assets. Now they share records too.

Security & Privacy

Your Data. Your Control.

We believe your records belong to you—not us. That's why we built Qadvo with privacy and portability at its core.

Your data never trains AI

AI runs through a private API — not ChatGPT. Nothing you log is used to train models, visible to others, or kept beyond 30 days.

Never sold. Never shared.

Your records are never sold and never shared with advertisers — they're yours, period. If we ever offer anonymous industry benchmarks, joining will be your choice, not a default.

Encrypted in transit & at rest

Hosted on secure cloud infrastructure with automatic backups and 24/7 monitoring. The same protection used by banking apps, without the marketing line.

Export anytime

Download your complete data as Excel with one click. No lock-in, no hoops to jump through. Your records are always portable.

Why This Exists

Not knowing is the expensive part

The problem isn't forgetting — it's not knowing what you have, not being able to show it, or worse, not being able to find it when it matters. After the 2025 LA fires, most families who lost everything had to list what they'd owned from memory before being paid in full. And it cuts both ways: a documented history is worth real money the day you sell.

“I lost $6,000 on a water leak because I didn't know I had coverage. The policy existed—I just didn't even know to ask. That's why I built Qadvo.”
